A few words on gun ownership rights

The thing about guns is that most people who support gun control still believe the police should be allowed to use them, which only gives more power to the state, and it will only hurt the cause to end police brutality. Owning a gun is not an act of aggression, but killing innocent people with guns is. Guns can be used for self-defense, hunting, and even just for the sake of shooting targets. There are definitely people who shouldn't own guns (myself included), but making guns difficult to purchase can have negative consequences. There have been cases where women have decided to carry a weapon to defend themselves against abusive exes, but they are murdered before the process of legally owning one is complete. Besides, preventing violence should not mean taking away civil liberties. This is why I also oppose the war on drugs, the TSA, mass surveillance, and such.
