The Family: A Proclamation to the Universe (specifically conservative Christians)

I wrote this in response to The Family: A Proclamation to the World.

All human beings are equal in God's eyes. Although men and women think and act differently, gender differences do not define worth, nor do they define who you are. Not all men are the same and not all women are the same. And that's how it should be.
Marriage should be between two people who love each other. The two people that are committed to each other must be equal partners. No one should have power over the other. It is evil to abuse your spouse or children.
Sex is a sacred act between two consenting adults who love each other, are committed to each other, and are preferably married to each other (if they're allowed to get married). Sex should not be done out of lust. Furthermore, it's no one's business what types of sexual activity married couples do, as long as it's consensual and doesn't involve animals or dead people. Birth control is a personal choice, but if a woman gets pregnant, she should not have an abortion unless she has a good reason to (e.g. her life was in serious danger).
Although all families are different, there are one fundamental thing all families need to have: love. The reason that all of these things listed are wrong is because there is no love involved.

I may continue this later...
